On September 24, 2014, in the Official Gazetteof the Federation, it was published the agreement by which the Advisory Board of the Mexican Observatory on Noncommunicable Diseases was created.
FIRST. The Advisory Board of the Mexican Observatory on Noncommunicable Diseases is created as a collegiate body of technical nature, which aim is to support the evaluation and impact assessment of public policy implemented by the National Strategy for Overweight, Obesity and Diabetes Prevention and Control.
SECOND. The Advisory Board will have the following duties:
I. Issue opinions and recommendations for the institutions that integrate the National Health System, on implementation, evaluation and impact assessment of the National Strategy for Overweight, Obesity and Diabetes Prevention and Control;
II. Support the activities specifically determined by the Mexican Observatory on Noncommunicable Diseases;
III. Formulate action proposals on subjects related to its aim, in order to be incorporated to the Federal Government programs;
IV. Create temporary work groups, on themes fixed by the Advisory Council, as required;
V. Approve its Operation Guidelines, and
VI. The further necessary for the fulfillment of its aim
